This work seeks to disrupt the collective silence around the reality of adapting to a rapidly changing physical world, and investigates what this means for the Dutch identity. Shot in the province of Zeeland (the Netherlands) throughout 2019 I combine portraits and landscapes to tell a personal story of climate change, visualising how the impending dangers impact now. Interwoven with my personal narrative of loss, mourning and denial are images that showcase the cold and undeniable scientific truth.
